No. Every site collects readers from the day you publish it: there is a signup form in the header, on the homepage, on every book page and at the end of every blog post. Your list is in Your readers > Readers, and you can download it as a CSV at any time.
Each reader gets one email from you, sent by Zenpage, and joins your list only after clicking the link in it (double opt-in). This keeps fake and mistyped addresses off your list and is what GDPR expects.
Yes. Upload a PDF or EPUB on the Readers page, such as a prequel, a bonus chapter or a short story. Your signup forms mention it, and readers can download it right after they confirm.
Mailchimp, Kit (ConvertKit), Beehiiv, Brevo and MailerLite: each confirmed reader is sent to your list there automatically. With Substack, your signup forms send readers to your Substack page instead. We add more providers based on demand.
In Your readers > Readers, pick your email tool, paste your API key and list or form ID, and press "Test connection". The test checks both the key and the list. Readers who already joined are sent over too.
Yes. API keys are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before storage. They are never exposed to the browser or included in client-side code.
No. The signup forms are part of your site and match your template. When a provider is connected, Zenpage calls its API for each confirmed reader. If the provider is down, the reader stays safe on your Zenpage list and is sent over later.
Every signup form has honeypot bot protection and origin validation, requests are rate-limited, and nobody joins your list without confirming their email.
