The obvious question
Author websites are mostly static pages: text, images, and links. They cost almost nothing to host. We're talking pennies per site per month.
This is a passion project built by someone who reads too much and thinks authors shouldn't have to pay $20/month just to exist online. The infrastructure costs are low enough that charging for it would feel wrong.
When you sell an ebook, the payment goes through Stripe directly to your account. We never touch your money. Stripe charges their standard processing fee (~2.9% + 30c). We charge nothing on top. No commission, no platform fee, no revenue share.
Down the road, we may introduce optional paid add-ons to make authors' lives even easier. But the website builder and ebook sales? Free. Today, tomorrow, forever.
Yes. The website builder and ebook selling are free forever. We may introduce optional paid add-ons down the road, but the core product and everything that exists today will never go behind a paywall.
No catch. Static sites are genuinely cheap to host, and this is a side project built by someone who reads too much and codes too late. There's no VC money, no growth targets, no reason to start charging for something that costs almost nothing to run.
No. Stripe charges their standard processing fee (~2.9% + 30c per transaction). We take zero commission. Your ebook revenue goes directly to your Stripe account.
Yes. We walk you through connecting Stripe in about 5 minutes from your dashboard. Once connected, payments go directly to your bank account.
No. Not now, not ever for the website builder. You sign up with your email, build your site, and publish. To sell ebooks, you'll need a free Stripe account.
Maybe. If we do, they'll be separate paid add-ons designed to make authors' lives easier. The website builder and ebook sales stay free.
Give them somewhere to land. No credit card, no trial, no strings.
