If you want to design every pixel, or your site does more than books, like coaching sessions or a members’ area, Wix is the better tool. If what you need is book pages, a bio, a signup form and a way to sell, you would be paying $348 a year to build by hand what Zenpage builds for free.

Wix can’t export your site, so copy your blog posts and praise quotes across. The editor splits each quote from its source when you paste. Upload your ebook files and connect Stripe to sell.
Move your readers

Export your contacts from Wix as a CSV. Import them into Mailchimp, Kit, MailerLite or another provider, then connect that provider in Zenpage. New signups go to both.

If you bought the domain at Wix, transfer it to Cloudflare. Wix doesn’t let you point its domains elsewhere, and blocks transfers for 60 days after a purchase. If you bought it somewhere else, add it to a free Cloudflare account. Then add the two DNS records shown in your Zenpage settings.
Don’t cancel the domain at Wix first
Your domain has its own subscription at Wix. Cancel it before the transfer finishes and you can lose the domain.

Billed yearly, Light is $17 a month, Core $29 and Business $39. These are the US prices reviewers reported in September 2026; Wix shows local prices by country. Light can’t take payments, so an author who sells ebooks needs Core, $348 a year. Billed monthly, reviewers report about $24, $36 and $46. The free plan shows Wix ads and can’t use your own domain.
No. Wix charges no commission on store sales, only card fees (2.9% plus 30 cents in the US with Wix Payments). Zenpage is the same: no commission, just Stripe’s fee. The difference is the plan you pay for before you can sell at all.
Yes, it is free, with no paid plan and no card. An author site is mostly text and images, so hosting one costs pennies a month. Zenpage takes no cut of your book sales: Stripe charges its usual fee and the rest lands in your Stripe account. It is a small independent project. There is an optional tip jar in the dashboard, and paid add-ons may come later, but the website and book sales stay free.
Only if you want your own domain. Zenpage custom domains run through a free Cloudflare account that you own. Cloudflare sells .com domains at cost, about $10 a year, and SSL is free. Without a domain, your site lives at yourname.zenpage.io and costs nothing.
Switching from Wix
No. Wix says a Wix site must run on Wix’s servers, and there is no export for pages or blog posts. That is why Zenpage builds your site from your books, not from your Wix site. Blog posts are copied across by hand.

Yes. If you bought it at Wix, transfer it to Cloudflare. Wix doesn’t let you change the nameservers of its domains, and it blocks transfers for 60 days after a purchase or a contact change. A transfer takes up to a week. If you bought the domain somewhere else, add it to a free Cloudflare account and connect it with two DNS records.
Yes, through an email provider. Export your contacts from Wix as a CSV, import them into Mailchimp, Kit, MailerLite, Beehiiv or Brevo, and connect that provider in Zenpage. Zenpage can’t send campaigns itself, so your provider is where you write your newsletters.
Your domain and your name carry most of it, and both come with you. Your old Wix page addresses won’t match the new ones, so old links to inner pages break until Google picks up the new sitemap. Most readers find an author by name, which lands on the home page. Zenpage sites have a sitemap, meta tags and structured data from day one.
